How to plant your seed paper
🌱 How to Plant Seed Paper and Grow Flowers from Scratch
Have you ever held a piece of paper and thought, "What if this could grow into something beautiful?" With seed paper, it can! This eco-friendly wonder is embedded with flower seeds and can be planted right into the soil to sprout into vibrant blooms.
Step 1: Prepare Your Pot
Start with a pot filled about 2/3 of the way with good-quality potting soil. Lightly tap the soil down so it’s firm but not compacted. The goal is to create a stable bed for your seed paper while still allowing for air and water circulation.
đź’ˇ Tip: You can plant indoors or outdoors depending on the season. Just be mindful of temperature and light conditions when deciding.
Step 2: Plant the Paper
Place your seed paper flat on the surface of the soil. Then, cover it with a thin layer—about 1/8 inch—of soil. Gently press down to ensure the paper is in contact with the soil, but don’t pack it too tightly. Seeds need a little breathing room to sprout.
Step 3: Water During Germination
Give your paper a good initial soaking so the soil and paper are nicely damp (but not soggy). For the first 10 days, it’s important to keep everything consistently moist—this is the germination phase, when your seeds are waking up and beginning to grow.
💧 Important: Don’t let the paper dry out during this stage, or it might stop the germination process!
Step 4: Care After Germination
Once you see sprouts breaking through the surface (yay!), continue to keep the soil moist—but be cautious not to overwater. At this stage, your seedlings are delicate but growing stronger every day.
🌼 As the plants mature, you can gradually shift to a regular watering routine based on the needs of the specific flowers that sprout.
A Note from Nature 🌍
Seed paper is a beautiful reminder that sustainability and creativity can go hand in hand. You're not just planting flowers—you’re also planting hope, pollinator food, and a little more green in the world.
So go ahead, plant that paper. Watch what grows. 🌸
